When closed, Black Flag resembles both a minimalist sculpture and the flag from which it takes its name but unfolds to function as a pendant lamp. This new, state-of-the-art space highlights our commitment to the US and North American markets, fostering closer collaboration with architects and lighting designers while elevating our bespoke production and design capabilities. The new facility significantly enhances Flos Bespoke operations, focusing on local sourcing and production. It features on-site metal fabrication, painting, and custom finishing capabilities, prioritizing local materials and artisans. The space enables rigorous quality control, with an engineering team overseeing the entire design process and on-site product testing. Higher ceilings allow for full-scale previews of large projects before installation, elevating our ability to deliver top-tier, customized lighting solutions. The Flos Design Space at IDC Otsuke in the Ariake district of Tokyo was the very first to open in Japan. One of the primary retailers of the iconic Arco lamp in the country, the renowned design store showcases both classic designs and contemporary releases. 

Flos is proud to announce its partnership with the Casa Italia Paris 2024 project, where it will employ a selection of designer lights and cutting-edge lighting systems to create a tailor-made atmosphere to welcome the athletes and guests for the XXXIII Olympic Games. Flos is one of the brands chosen to represent the artistic and cultural excellence of Italian art and design at Le Pré Catelan, a Napoleon III-style building just a stone’s throw from the Champs Élysées. The Flos lighting scheme will include contemporary and classic icons from the Outdoor, Architectural, and Decorative collections. It has been specifically designed to form a narrative itinerary that enhances the art and furnishings within the space while creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere appropriate to the occasion. Outdoor lighting will establish a sophisticated dialogue with the architecture, interacting elegantly with the significant monuments of Paris. Located beside the beach in Aarhus, Denmark, Villa Risskov overlooks both sea and city. We are proud to announce that To-Tie by Gugliemo Poletti received the Honorable Mention at the ADI 2024 Compasso d'Oro Award. Embracing the spirit of Castiglioni, To-Tie is formed of three simple elements held together by mechanical tension alone, translating the designer's extensive research into an industrial lighting design for the first time. ⁣⁣

TEN ARTISTS FOR TEN YEARS To celebrate its 10th anniversary and testify to its status in the collective imagination, Flos invited ten artists to interpret the dreamlike IC Light by Michael Anastassiades, his first and most iconic lamp collection for Flos. Hailing from diverse corners of the globe and each bringing their unique style and vision, these creatives have captured the essence of this renowned luminaire. The featured artists include Olya Oleinic, David Luraschi, Luis Úrculo, Nicolas Kern, Jay Daniel Wright, Yago Castromil, Sany, Oscar Grønner and Aurielle Marie.
