Capsule drop inspiration ➡ Poolside Our outside the box-inspiration for the upcoming capsule drop for our Digicube comes from the vintage photos of #SlimAarons (1916-2006), a photographic storyteller. Since the 1950s, his work has graced the pages of Holiday, Town & Country, Life, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and Travel & Leisure. Between the '50s and '80s, Slim Aarons loved capturing "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places". Through his vintage images that capture the upper class in the world's most beautiful vacation spots, showcasing a golden world of elegance and luxury made of champagne celebrations at high altitudes, liveried waiters on the ski slopes, gourmet buffets on glaciers, and fabulous mountain chalets. After summers spent on the Riviera, Slim Aarons would visit the world's most stunning ski resorts in winter. Locations like Palm Beach, Acapulco, the Hamptons, Courchevel, Aspen, St. Moritz, and Gstaad owe part of their fame to the timeless allure of his iconic shots. In 1915, Coco Chanel opened her first couture boutique in Biarritz, France. 4 . In the 1920s, the Maison Chanel launched its first perfume: N°5 5 . In 1924, the maison introduced its signature tweed suits, offering women a modern daily uniform. 6 . The iconic 2.55 Chanel bag was presented to the public on February 1955. 7 . Jackie Kennedy, on November 22nd 1963, wore a pink Chanel suit on the day of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. 8 .
