Energy transport and distribution automation are my passions. I work as a Project Manager in my Company leading my teammates to meet our Customer's high level of requirements. I fulfill the role of Construction Manager according to D.lgs 50/2016. I am a HV & MV grid expert: my daily scope is the design of electric power plants, substations and their control systems, all delivered with the newest possibile technology. I'm a control & protection device expert; PLC IEC 61131 languages and latest protocols like IEC 61850 are the development tools for the design of my control systems. I'm now deeply involved in Smart Grid solutions enhancement and deployment for my Company.

Primary Substation Lasa
- Presente
As a Project Manager for Alperia I have to provide engineering design and resource management for this new Primary Substation @Lasa. The plant is created to enhance energy distribution in the Venosta Valley, empower energy transportation through direct HV links with Terna and provide other DSOs more interconnections. It is scheduled to end in June 2022.

Smart Grid
Smart Grid control systems are the solution for the growing problem of uncontrolled energy production coming from DER. The extensive use of IEC 61850 protocol grants the automation features to control MV grid: voltage regulation, distributed protection functions (fault selectivity, anti-islanding) and conductor fault selection. The communication between "smart" DSOs and the TSO will add stability to the national electrcal system.

Primary Substation Brennero

I was involved in the design of the new Primary Substation @Brennero as Senior electrical engineer (tech-specs development, tender setup, expediting, etc) and also as Construction Manager in plant building. I completed my scope following SAT of all electrical equipment with direct involvement in automation. The project is the enabler of a new commercial path for energy transport between Italy and Austria.

Hydro powerplant San Pancrazio - Full revamping

My scope in this complete revamping of the hydro power plant (substitution of the turbine, generator, brackets, bearings, etc) was to develop, together with the Supplier, the new automation of the plant. It went back in service in April 2018 meeting all Alperia Green Power requests.

SICAS / SAS

SICAS (SAS) is the most innovative substation control system based on IEC 61850 communication protocol. The control system enhances the possibilities of control & protection for electrical substations (HV & MV) bringing automation to another level. Only the use of digital devices (IED) connected through IEC 61850 grants SAS's new features.
