Social media are an amazing tool to show your work, engage with fans and grow the club's brand. You can use like a Toy or as a Tool. If you use it like a Toy you lose time and money. A sports manager builds confidence by approaching each day with a growth mindset and getting to know people with whom to grow. I find the following 3 points important: 1. self-awareness -> who am I? What makes me unique? What are my strenghts? 2. continuous learning -> approach every day with a growth mindset. Acquire new skills through sports courses (ex: Focus Sports Education) 3. relationship-building -> attend conferences, join sports business courses, do anything you can to enrich your network and meet people you can learn from.

Athletes are under increasing pressure and the cases of mental health problems among athletes are no longer counted (Simone Biles, Serena Williams, Iniesta, and many others). I believe that today the mental aspect makes the difference at high levels. So it is important to consider this aspect when assessing the potential of an athlete. As for all performers (even singers), it's key to evaluate an athlete's resilience, focus, and ability to perform under pressure. It's also important to understand an athlete's personality traits and how they align with the demands of their sport.

Leverage the power of Optionality. You want a situation where you can benefit from positive outcomes while limiting your exposure to potential losses. For example, through performance-based contracts, you can tie financial rewards to specific performance milestones, such as goals scored, assists, or playing time.

Leverage the power of social media. Attention is an incredibly powerful asset and you need to create buzz and become relevant. I particularly like content that shows behind-the-scenes glimpses and not only perfection.

First, have clear goals. Then set 3 priorities per goal. I also use a technique I've learned from a musician: when a goal/task seems too complex I break it down into smaller, manageable tasks. Another important thing is to have a detailed schedule. You don't want to be confused about tasks and deadlines.
