The Endesa Datathon challenges experts in Big Data worldwide to put their creativity and innovative skills to work to transform the future of energy in Spain. You will participate in a 100% digital experience that will allow you to demonstrate your skills and create solutions that improve the lives of millions of people.

We are looking for initiatives and projects like yours that, through the use of a fictitious data set based on real behaviors, optimize the energy usage of Spanish homes.

The finalists selected will be invited to participate in interactive webinars that will help to guide you through your projects, keep you in contact with other candidates and learn about topics like Big Data, supercomputing and the Internet of Things from leading experts.

The Endesa Hackathon gathered 40 developers, programmers and designers in Madrid to define mobile solutions to change the future of energy. This two day event included the participation of experts like Enrique Dans or Alberty Levy, who spoke about Design Thinking, Open Innovation and Gammification, amongst others.

The Endesa Hackathon was celebrated on November 27th and 28th at the College of Architects in Madrid. The 40 participants were divided into working groups of 10 tasked with the mission of generating an innovative solution that would optimize energy consumption in Spain. To finalize the two day event, during which the participants applied the Design Thinking methodology to their projects, the teams presented their ideas and the jury panel selected the three winning proposals that received cash prizes of 6,000€, 3,000€ and 1,000€ respectively.

EmTech is the most important conference worldwide for emerging technologies, the stage where the most innovative ideas converge with the companies with the greatest outreach and the most relevant experts capable of transforming our society and the future economy.

The First Edition of EmTech gathered the french innovation ecosystem in Toulouse, on December 15th and 16th at the Quai des Savoirs. More than 500 innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and researchers were there, but also 40 national and international speakers to talk about the future of science and technology.

The EmTech conference brought together a renowned speakers parterre, among them Kathleen Kennedy – President of the MIT Technology Review, Rand Hindi – CEO at Snips and Global Innovator Under 35, Antoine Hubert – CEO at Ynsect and Innovator Under 35, Tariq Krim – Creator of Netvibes, Founder and CEO at Jolicloud and Innovator Under 35, or Xavier Duportet – CEO at Eligo Bioscience and Innovator of the Year 2015.

On December 16th, during the Venture Point that was held in EmTech France, 10 startups had the chance to work in groups to improve their pitch. They presented their projects in an Elevator Pitch in front of top international Venture Capitalists. In the end, Smart Impulse was selected as the Best Tech Startup of the Venture Point supported by La French Tech at EmTech France.
