Record at GOODWOOD! A fantastic new achievement for PoliMOVE-MSU team at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. In our final run on Sunday 14/7/24, the Indy Autonomous Challenge Dallara AV24 car#5 established the new record (66.4s – the previous one was 67.0s) for a fully-autonomous car, with a top speed (another record) of 179kph |111mph (previous one was 162kph | 101 mph) on the iconic and historical Goodwood Hillclimb (1.86 km | 1.16 miles). A massive technical challenge due to the unforgiving, narrow, and uneven road, and the very limited availability of satellite-localization.
