L'Istituto stato fondato dall'Editore Fernando Burgo che, grazie

ad una esperienza di oltre mezzo secolo nel settore della moda
(1961), ha avuto il merito e la capacit di fare assumere alle proprie
esperienze pratiche un'impronta didattica. Lavorando e miglio
rando le proprie capacit d'insegnamento parallelamente allo svi
luppo del settore, riuscito a fornire supporti didattici pi avanzati
ed obiettivi di ricerca, verificando costantemente il positivo inseri
mento dei giovani diplomati nel sistema produttivo. Ogni anno
circa 12000 studenti di tutto il mondo studiano con la metodologia
didattica dell'Istituto di Moda Burgo.
Il 7 Dicembre 2014 il Sindaco di Milano ha consegnato al Direttore
Fernando Burgo la Medaglia D'Oro, meglio conosciuta come "AM
BROGINO D'ORO", per premiare l'operato dell'Istituto di Moda
Burgo, che ha contribuito a dare lustro alla citt di Milano attra
verso la diffusione in tutto il mondo con le sue 52 sedi estere e ita
liane del metodo d'insegnamento "Made in Italy". Il premio
rappresenta la massima onorificenza per un cittadino.
