OUR PLEDGE

ETHICAL GEMSTONES

Ethical gemstones are the exception in our industry, not the rule. On the whole, very few gemstones are fully documented. This needs to change. By 2032 we aim to have a fully traceable supply chain from mine to hand. In the meantime, we'll be as transparent as possible about the journey of your gemstone.

FORCING CHANGE

THE JEWELLERY INDUSTRY

As a whole, the jewellery industry needs to do better. The majority of diamonds and gemstones in circulation are undocumented, which can make it difficult to trace the mine or country of origin.

To ensure our gemstones align with our ethical and organisational values, we only work with suppliers we know and trust. We vet them in person where we can to check that their business is trading fairly, and we only work with suppliers who source from conflict free countries such as USA, Sri Lanka, Australia and Botswana.

MAKING CHANGES NOW

GEMSTONE TRANSPARENCY

We pride ourselves on working with only the most ethically sound gemstone creators, miners and traders who we have built long standing relationships with. That’s why, in 2024, four of our team members went on a trip to Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and India to meet with our gemstone suppliers to ensure they aligned with our commitment to responsible gemstone trading. During this trip these team members visited mines and offices, and spent time with members of these companies at all levels to make sure every worker was treated fairly and each gemstone comes to us from only the most ethically sound origin.

Earth Kind

Sourcing

We always aim to source our gemstones in the most eco friendly way possible, making sure gemstone mines aren’t too detrimental to the planet and opting for lab grown gemstones where possible.

Conflict Free

Zones

We only work with suppliers from conflict free zones, meaning you can wear your beautiful gemstone with peace of mind, knowing it hasn’t funded any form of conflict or violence.

Sound Working Conditions

All our gemstone suppliers have been vetted to ensure all their workers are treated fairly and work within a safe environment.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPALS

Ethical is a term used freely by many jewellers. To us, this is more than just a promise. This means action...

1. Our jewellery must support and enhance local communities, everyone working within the supply chain must benefit.

2. Working conditions must be safe and of a good standard.

3. Gemstones must come from conflict free zones and countries.

4. Where possible, gemstone should be documented.

5. All processes should be kind to the earth
