List of areas to be affected by power blackout on Friday

A power outage scheduled for Friday, July 5, 2024, is set to impact just one county.

The blackout, which is planned for maintenance purposes, will affect several areas from morning to evening.

The outage, while temporary, is expected to impact various sectors and activities in the affected County.

“Notice is hereby given under Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules That the electricity supply will be interrupted as here under: (It is necessary to interrupt supply periodically in order to facilitate maintenance and upgrade of power lines to the network; to connect new customers or to replace power lines during road construction, etc.),” Kenya Power said in a notice on its website.

Kenya Power said that the Friday power interruption will affect Migori County.

Area: Macalder, Muhuru Bay, Osiri

Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Places to be affected: Parts of Gogo, Macalda, Osiri Center, Osiri Gold Mine, Sibuoche, Nyakweri, Lwada, Sori Town, Karaminde, God Oloo, Set Camela, Muhuru Bay, Bande, Otoch Rakwom, Namba Condelo, Sori Beach, Gachola Center, Gogo Power Stn, Ayego, Othoro, Mori Center, Oria, Aduongo, Ombo, Midida, Kuna & adjacent customers.
