We were honored to have the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) East Africa as a sponsor for #AACOSE7 JRS Kenya operates temporary protection houses for survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SVGB) and children with protection needs, offering comprehensive case management, psychosocial support, and skills training. They also run special needs protection facilities providing psychosocial services to individuals and counseling and training to their parents/caregivers. According to new data, over 10 million social enterprises are prioritizing purpose over profit, addressing critical issues like climate change and poverty. These enterprises generate $2 trillion in revenue and create 200 million jobs, with half led by women. As Africa embraces the AU's ten-year strategy to strengthen the social and solidarity economy, the continent is on the path to building more inclusive and sustainable economies.
