The PS for Industry Dr Juma Mukhwana was today the Chief Guest during the graduation of 236 students who have received training in current and innovative tech skills (software development, cypersecurity, coding and networking). He urged the graduates to make a difference in the lives of others. The universities included Kibabii, Dean Kimathi, Mama Ngina, TUM, JKUAT, Moi, and Kenyatta University.

Today we recap a significant milestone at Kenyatta University as 236 brilliant students graduated from the KIEP SKIES Rapid Tech Skills program.   Over the past four months, these innovators have poured their creativity and hard work into developing groundbreaking projects across sectors like manufacturing, health, education, housing, and agriculture. 🚀 Excited to Share the Journey of the Last 16 Weeks! 🚀 The past 16 weeks have been an incredible journey guiding my students through the dynamic world of cybersecurity. As part of a rapid tech skills program, I've had the privilege of witnessing a remarkable transformation in each of them. From the first day, where many started with little to no skills, to now, where they’ve grown into confident, skilled individuals ready to take on the cybersecurity challenges of the future, the progress has been nothing short of inspiring. 🌟 Each class, each hands-on session, each breakthrough moment has been a beautiful chapter in this journey. Seeing their excitement when they successfully crack a challenge or understand a complex concept has been immensely rewarding. Last week, we had a monitoring session by the project implementation team: Philiph Maitha, Cecilia Mwangi OGW, John Muinami, Mathew M. Egessa, PhD, Felix Chiaji, Julius Ndegwa, and all the 33 students. We now look forward to the graduation ceremony! I am deeply grateful for the support from the Technical University of Mombasa, KIEP-SKIES, Ministry of Investments,Trade and Industry, The World Bank and E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center, Kenya. This experience has not only been about imparting knowledge but also about fostering a community of future cybersecurity experts who are ready to make a difference.
