Essential Functions/Duties:

1. To Supervise the Risk Management and Loss Control teams.
2. Internal: Frequent contact all levels of management of the Corporation.
3. External: Frequent contact with others in the profession, insurance companies, brokers, appropriate governmental agencies, and professional organizations.
4. Working and assessing company contracts. Ability to modify and make changes as a risk control.
5. To make independent decisions relative to insurance and loss prevention items.
6. Be familiarity with the company overall operations in order to recognize the areas in which employees and property are vulnerable to injury, loss or injury.
7. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
8. The ability to analyze, prepare Risk/Loss departmental reports concerning risk management and loss prevention of potential loss-producing situations to senior management, present and suggests methods to eliminate those situations.
9. Develops, recommends and communicates to Senior Management, corporate risk/loss programs and policies, and procedures concerning risk management and loss prevention.
10. Upon approval, communicates, coordinates, implements and administers these programs and policies, coordinating with other departments. Audits program results to assure objectives and effectiveness of the programs.
11. Continually reviews and determines all casualty and property risk of loss in which the corporation’s assets are exposed, analyze such risks to determine effective methods to eliminated, controlled, minimized, assumed, and/or insured.
12. Maintains liaison with underwriters on matters of safety and security, and arranges for inspection tours of satellite plants by insurance representatives. Contacts state insurance departments, insurance companies, and brokers as necessary.

    1. Grow the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity in the areas of information flow, business processes, enhanced management reporting.
    2. Ensure thorough operations onboarding of new staff per set schedule.
    3. Provide supervision to all regional teams and all loss control staff
    4. Identifying the developmental needs of loss control staff and advising management on development of learning content to meet those needs.
    5. Coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping all loss control teams to improve their knowledge or skills.
    6. Conducting appraisals and performance reviews to all regional/area managers.
