Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting delegates from European Commission’s European Innovation Centre for Industrial Transformation and Emissions (INCITE), alongside Swedish iron and steel producers’ association Jernkontoret. INCITE accelerates the implementation of clean industrial technologies, while contributing to a circular and more competitive industry in Europe. Electrification of heating processes was on the agenda and the delegates got a hands-on introduction to the electric furnaces we use in our own operations since 40 years. We’re excited to be part of this important dialogue. Together, we’re paving the way for a more sustainable future in the steel industry!

We had the pleasure of hosting the Swedish iron and steel producers' association Jernkontoret at Kanthal's headquarters in Hallstahammar for an insightful day! The entire Jernkontoret team explored the exciting possibilities of electric heating in steelmaking. As electrification of heating processes continues to gain traction in the steel industry, this visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. We were thrilled to showcase how our innovative electric heating solutions can drive sustainability and efficiency in steel production.
