The BWI Act legally restricted the land available to be cleared on Barrow Island (BWI) and Grade A Nature Reserve300 ha under an ACT of Parliament. represented Gorgon Downstream within a multi-functional team to successfully secure State Parliament permissions to clear an additional 32 ha, as laydown had become the projects Achilles heel.

The original FEED design was to reutilize two existing wells for the reinjection of produced water stream. This was revaluated on a risk basis, and it was decided to drill two new purpose designed wells on a new location. Required intense land management to stay land neutral, i.e. No more land take, and installation of a dual pipeline which introduced its own set of pigging and metallurgical. Sanha Condensate was recognized as one of the annual top 5 project selections by Offshore Magazine. Led the team to overcome many challenges such as topsides weight growth, late equipment deliveries, incomplete onshore fabrication by one of the consortiums members and a major typhoon's impact to finish on schedule safely. Inspired levels of teamwork rarely seen to face and overcome these challenges.

The original topsides was tragically lost at sea due to a maritime accident. Fully integrated client and contractor resources for the rebuild, to a) apply lessons learned and b) do it once and do it right to eliminate rework. The fabrication time was reduced for the 10,500-ton topsides from 16 months to 9-1/2 months and sailed complete having achieved the 1st Cause and Effect test fully during the 9-1/2 month onshore fabrication period, The level of cooperation from suppliers was superior… 더보기

Provided input and supporting documentation for the preparation of the New Operator's safety case. Overcame significant corrosion, erosion wall thickness loss in production headers working closely with the certifying authorities for the sale to proceed without shutting down production.
