This represents a 20-place ascent from last year's position of 76th, marking the first time in our history that we have entered the top 50. Our university has once again surpassed its previous highest ranking, achieving the top position among private universities in Asia for the 3rd consecutive year. The QS World University Rankings evaluates universities based on 9 indicators: ▲Academic Reputation, ▲Employer Reputation, ▲Faculty Student Ratio, ▲Citations per Faculty, ▲International Faculty Ratio, ▲International Students Ratio, ▲International Research Network, ▲Employment Outcomes, and ▲Sustainability (ESG) performance. Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) kicks off today! Over the next six weeks, we’re thrilled to host students from 77 countries. 🌍🎉 Since its inception in 1985 as Korea’s first international summer school, YISS has continually grown in scale. This year, participants will enjoy over 100 courses in English and gain hands-on experience through internships at top companies and research institutes. [Yonsei News] Yonsei University and Health System Co-Host 'Advanced Cancer Therapeutics Summit 2024' - Participation from Harvard University, Columbia University, Mayo Clinic, and Pharmaceutical Industry - On June 1-2, Yonsei University and Yonsei University Health System hosted the 'Advanced Cancer Therapeutics Summit (ACTS) 2024.' The symposium was held at the Yonsei Museum and Garden of Yonsei(Gwanghyewon), home to the reconstructed Gwanghye Hospital(광혜원, 廣惠院), the origin of modern medicine in Korea. The event was organized under the vision "Yonsei: Opening Human Possibilities with Truth and Freedom," declared on the 139th anniversary of Yonsei's founding in May. The event focused on interdisciplinary convergence and the establishment of a global convergence network through international exchanges. Various strategies were discussed to advance Yonsei University's vision. Yonsei University, which rose three places from 14th last year, has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility and a sustainable future by consistently rising in the Impact Rankings for five consecutive years, in addition to traditional rankings focused on education and research. The THE Impact Rankings, organized by the UK's global university ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE), assess universities' contributions towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon by the United Nations.
