    To conduct a Pareto analysis on a business process and use the results to identify and enhance efficiency and productivity. The project will include data collection, creation of a Pareto chart, identification of the vital few factors, and development of recommendations for improvement.

    To conduct a Pareto analysis, data must first be collected on the business process being analyzed. This can be done through various methods such as surveys, interviews, and process mapping. The data collected should include information on the frequency or relative frequency of each factor contributing to the problems in the process.

    Once the data is collected, a Pareto chart can be created. This chart displays the frequency or relative frequency of each factor in descending order, with a cumulative percentage line added to show the cumulative percentage of the factors. The vital few factors are those that account for a significant portion of the cumulative percentage, usually 80% or more.

    The next step is to identify the vital few factors and develop recommendations for improvement. These recommendations should focus on addressing the critical few factors identified through the Pareto analysis.
