About us
AIESEC in Sri Lanka is currently present in 19 universities and institutions including University of Moratuwa, University of Kelaniya, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna, SLIIT & NSBM providing an international platform for its members to discover and develop their potential. This global, non-partisan, non-profit organization is comprised of students and recent graduates of these institutions of higher education, who are interested in world issues, leadership, and management. AIESEC has over 70 years of experience in developing students into globally-minded leaders. AIESEC’s innovative development process consists of unmatched leadership experiences and global internships. AIESEC, the World’s largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society. In addition to providing over 40,000 leadership positions and delivering over 470 conferences to our membership of over 60,000 students, AIESEC also runs an exchange program that enables over 16,000 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in another country.

🌍 It is a great pleasure for me to share the volunteering project I carried out through AIESEC in Sri Lanka within the scope of Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education! 🎓 I had the opportunity to apply the understanding of global communication and cooperation, which I strengthened through international relations education, in this project in partnership with the United Nations. As English is taught in high schools in Sri Lanka, the social ties of education are strengthened and I have once again experienced it as a tool to promote global peace. Sri Lanka's magnificent nature and welcoming people made the experience even more special. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Ranju Kurera and all the teachers at British Way English Academy for their warm welcome and precious freedom.
