SAN ANTONIO - First responders are dealing with swarms of honey bees after an 18-wheeler carrying a load of them flipped over near downtown.

According to San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Joe Arrington, the truck owned by a bee removal business turned over while trying to negotiate the Finesilver curve on I-10 West offramp to Eastbound I-35 just before 11:00 a.m. Sunday.

No injuries have been reported, but swarms of angry bees are now in the area as officials investigate this accident and work to clear the highway.

Firefighters used a combination of soap and water to clean up the mess. No chemicals were used.

Officials do not have an estimate on the cost of supplies used to clean up this accident.

Avoid the area.

This is a developing story.
