Three years ago, after the Tokyo Paralympic Games, discus thrower Oksana Dobrovolskaja vowed to return to the Paralympics arena — and this week, she's doing just that! She acknowledges that she couldn't have done it without the support of her team, especially her coach. "Achieving the results I have, and those I have yet to achieve, would have been 'mission impossible' without my coach, who is always there. Everything that the words 'friend,' 'mother,' and 'coach' represent is embodied in the name Teresė Nekrošaitė," says Oksana. See more of Oksana's inspiring journey in a video below. Today the first Lithuanian athlete competes in the 2024 Paralympic Games. Swimmer Gabrielė Čepavičiūtė is making her debut this year, and she shares her journey in the video below. This young and dedicated athlete opens up about the team behind her success. "Swimming is an individual sport, and it seems like everything is up to you, but a lot of people are contributing to get you to this point of competition," says Gabrielė. Thanks to the unwavering support of her coaches, family, friends, and other professionals, she is set to compete in two events at these Paralympic Games. What does it take to achieve victory beyond your own determination and dedication? According to Andrius Skuja, a Paralympic shot-put athlete, it's the unwavering support of your team, who stand by you through both the highs and the lows. Andrius’s coach, Deimantas Jusys, has been at his side for nearly a decade. “Throughout these years we’ve never had a serious argument. It’s great to work with someone who’d not only your friend, but also a part of your family. It’s wonderful to have someone who always supports, motivates and gives you a hand when things go wrong or do not turn as expected”, says Andrius. Shot-put athlete Eivydė Vainauskaitė secured her spot in the 2024 Paralympics just over a month ago, and now the Opening Ceremony Day has finally arrived! Eivydė has been working towards this goal with her coach, Deimantas Jusys, since she was 12 years old. She emphasizes the crucial role that her loved ones and supporters have played in her journey: "I inherited my determination from my entire family; it's driven by a desire to improve and achieve my goals in sports. My family is my biggest supporter, and of course, the support of my coach is also incredibly important to me," says Eivydė, who will be competing on September 4th. The Paralympic Games in Paris are just about to start later this week, and we are excited to cheer for the athletes of the Lithuanian National Paralympics Team. Meet Aušra Garunkšnytė, a marathoner who earned the honor of representing Lithuania in 2021. Although an injury forced her to miss the last Games, this year in Paris, her moment to shine has finally arrived! Aušra attributes her success to determination and teamwork. "I've learned to accept help from those who are committed to achieving results alongside me. My coach, guide, doctors, nutritionist, fitness trainer, and sports psychologist — there are many people supporting me," she says. We're continuously enhancing our operations as part of our ongoing digital transformation to provide better service. As part of this effort, we've implemented a new, secure digital refueling solution across our entire fleet. This innovative system, based on the Fleethand solution, allows drivers to refuel seamlessly. Upon arriving at a designated partner gas station, such as Circle K or Shell, drivers can simply input the pump number into their Fleethand mobile app, and the refueling process starts automatically. This advancement reduces the risks associated with physical fuel cards, allowing drivers to spend less time on administrative tasks and more on delivering cargo efficiently and under optimal conditions. “As we continue to embrace new technologies, including mobile devices that integrate nearly all aspects of our operations, we are still investigating how those technologies can support us, reduce time or effort, or mitigate the risk of errors or mistakes.
