This collaboration aims to significantly reduce CO₂e emissions, enhance soil fertility, and boost farm profitability. 🍀 What’s Happening? Exclusive Partnership: Linas Agro will represent HeavyFinance's Carbon Farming Programme in Lithuania, a programme covering over 700,000 hectares across Europe and based on Verra's carbon offset methodology. Innovative Practices: The programme provides tailored recommendations for no-till farming, crop rotation, and other regenerative practices, supported by free soil sampling and data analysis. Technology Support: With GEOFACE, Linas Agro’s digital agricultural management platform, farmers can efficiently track and report their farm activities, facilitating seamless data sharing with HeavyFinance. “This partnership is not just about land preservation; it’s an investment in the future of agriculture and the environment. Regenerative Agriculture: A Key to Climate Action 🌱 At HeavyFinance, we're committed to helping farmers like Mr. Piotr transition to regenerative agriculture, where sustainable practices not only boost yields but also combat climate change. In a recent testimonial, Mr. Piotr shared how reducing tillage and fertilisation costs improved his soil health and increased productivity, all while sequestering carbon. “We must remember that soil is our workspace. Whether the farm relies on crop production or also involves animal production, we still work with the soil. It's our most important factor, and we must care for it.” commented the carbon farmer. Supporting regenerative farming isn't just good for the planet, it's a wise investment. 🌍💚 #CarbonCredits #Sustainability #Agriculture #ClimateAction #HeavyFinance

This image from FAO perfectly illustrates how agriculture is more than just the food on our plates — it's deeply intertwined with our entire ecosystem. From soil health to reducing carbon dioxide levels, and regenerative farming is key to sustaining our environment and securing nutritious food. At HeavyFinance, we support farmers in making the transition to sustainable practices, like reducing fertiliser use, which directly impacts the health of the Baltic Sea, one of the most polluted seas due to inland activities. Supporting farmers in this transition isn't just good for the environment; it's vital for the future of agriculture and food security. Let’s work together to make a lasting impact! 🌍💚 #Sustainability #RegenerativeFarming #ClimateAction #Agriculture #HeavyFinance

🌍 The EU's Nature Restoration Law is more than just a legislative milestone—it's a transformative shift towards a future where nature and the economy thrive together. This groundbreaking legislation sets ambitious targets to restore 20% of EU land and sea by 2030 and all degraded ecosystems by 2050. From wetlands to urban areas, the law emphasises biodiversity, climate adaptation, and international commitments. Role of agriculture 🚜 Key sectors, especially agriculture, are at the heart of this change. The legislation calls for enhanced biodiversity in agricultural ecosystems, promoting regenerative practices and highlighting the interdependence of ecosystem services. Transition to practices such as precision agriculture, organic farming, agro-ecology, agroforestry and low intensity permanent grassland were amongst the ones highlighted in the document. “Such practices do not intend to stop agricultural land-use but rather to adapt this type of use for the benefit of the long-term functioning and productivity of the agricultural ecosystems,” the document states. The legislation also highlights the importance of financing and rewarding these efforts, with green business models like carbon farming playing a key role. Here, agricultural nature restoration efforts are supported by the private sector through the purchase of carbon credits generated and sold on the Voluntary Carbon Market (#VCM). What is next? With the adoption of the Nature Restoration Law, EU Member States now have a crucial task ahead. Over the next two years, they are required to submit National Restoration Plans to the European Commission, outlining how they will achieve the ambitious restoration targets set by the law. These plans will detail the strategies, actions, and timelines for restoring ecosystems and enhancing biodiversity. While the law primarily targets environmental outcomes, businesses will inevitably feel its impact. Companies should proactively seek opportunities to improve their sustainability practices, aligning their operations with these new environmental goals. This is a chance for the private sector to innovate and lead in creating sustainable products and services, ensuring they contribute positively to nature conservation. At HeavyFinance, we’re committed to supporting regenerative agriculture as a cornerstone of environmental resilience. The road ahead is challenging, but the opportunities to make a positive impact are immense. Let’s work together to build a sustainable future for all. 🌱 #NatureRestoration #Sustainability #RegenerativeAgriculture #EUEnvironment #ClimateAction #HeavyFinance
