We're expanding our training capabilities with a second Airbus A220 full flight simulator arriving in Q4 2024. With only two of these simulators in Northern Europe — including ours — this addition strengthens our position as a leading regional training hub. It also improves our ability to train and maintain our growing number of pilots, supporting fleet expansion and Pilot Academy development. Martin Gauss, CEO and President of airBaltic: “This is a significant step forward in our continuous effort to provide world-class training for our pilots. As our fleet and operations grow, so does our commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and excellence in pilot training. This investment not only supports the future growth of airBaltic, but also strengthens our position as a key player in the global aviation industry.” ✈️ Read more: go.airbaltic.com/sim2

Agate Dedkova’s journey with airBaltic is featured on the August page of the 2024 airBaltic Calendar, highlighting her evolution from Passenger Handling Agent to Junior Crew Dispatcher. Since joining airBaltic over two years ago, Agate quickly realized that her time with the airline would be an exciting and transformative period in her life. “I was so excited!” she recalls. “I was eager to gain new experiences working with people and in aviation.” A self-described "people person," Agate has a natural ability to sense the mood and energy of others and respond accordingly. However, working in aviation has pushed her to test herself daily, constantly improving her skills and discovering her best qualities. “I feel obliged to do better every day because working for such a big company is a big responsibility,” she admits. “There are a lot of privileges for the employees, and I want to give something back in return.” As she gained experience in the industry, Agate's desire to deepen her understanding of aviation processes grew stronger. "After two years in aviation, I realized I wanted to know more, to understand the processes more deeply," she says. This drive led her to new opportunities within airBaltic, perfectly aligning with the company's vision: "We deliver, we care, we grow." For Agate, these aren’t just words—the company genuinely cares and provides opportunities. Grateful for the career growth opportunities at airBaltic, Agate is proud to be an important part of the airline’s large aviation family. “I’m thankful for the chance to grow my career,” she says. “It’s a joy to be a crucial part of our big aviation family.” #lifeatairbaltic #womeninaviation
