Key takeaways from recent World Economic Forum research: • CDR technologies like direct air capture will be essential to achieve net zero, alongside emissions reductions • Early corporate investment in CDR sends critical demand signals to help scale up the industry • A mix of natural and engineered CDR solutions is recommended • Setting an internal carbon price can help secure budget for CDR initiatives While CDR is still nascent in the Baltics, forward-thinking companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia should start exploring CDR as part of their long-term climate strategies. Even small investments now can help accelerate the development of this crucial climate solution.
