=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE
Hidden gem in Victoria for sushi! Good food for the most part, decently-priced, good service and easy access make this highly recommendable!
=== 2. FOOD
Chicken Teriyaki Dinner ($22.90)
Good value: chicken teriyaki with a decent amount of rice, salad with Japanese dressing, four pieces of tempura, miso soup and dynamite roll - should fill most appetites! The only letdown here was that our piece of chicken was a little dry - overcooked.
Prawn Tempura ($12.90)
Relatively light on the batter, and that's a good thing!
Futo Maki ($10.90)
Another dish done well!
Salmon Sashimi ($15.90)
Seven pieces of wild salmon await!
=== 3. SERVICE
It worked well in English though those who speak Korean would be able to converse with the staff well enough. We did takeout this time and the service was quick and professional.
=== 4. ENVIRONMENT
Outfitted like a traditional Japanese eatery, they've got a number of small tables and the traditional Japanese bar-style seating, so it's intimate in a way - best to leave your large groups at home. There may be just enough space for wheelchairs and baby strollers. Parking is typically available in the shopping complex lot outside.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jalal E.Old Toronto, Toronto, Canada01Apr 14, 2023
I have never left a review in my life and if there was a lower rating, I would give it to them.
What happened today is inexcusable, my 13-year-old boy went in and ordered a California roll and beef Teriaki roll to go when we got the order we decided to eat in so we asked if we could eat in, and the counter person said it was up to you but was rude about it, in the order bag there was no soy sauce, no wasabi so we asked for some then he said next time let us know if you going to eat in!
I thought to myself but we did ask you if we can eat here and you said it's up to you!!!
When we finished he said take your garbage with you to my boy very rudely even though the bag was in his hands and ready to take it with us.
If the food was half decent I probably would have let it go.

I got door dash from here and it was absolutely delicious. I had gyoza, the beef teriyaki roll, the yam caterpillar roll, and some kappa makis for fun. It was all very fresh, and came nicely packaged. I hear the location is small, but it was perfect for takeout/delivery!

A great take-out sushi option in Victoria, though the seating for the dine-in set-up is a little tight. Orders are often ready quickly and they have a large selection on the menu. We love their Agedashi tofu, seaweed salad, spider rolls, caterpillar rolls, and dragon rolls.

One of the better (and cozier) sushi restaurants in Victoria. Sushi Field is located in the Fairfield Plaza and is just a tiny hole in the wall. It's small, but as I said, it's very cozy.
We had dinner here and shared a few appies before our main dishes arrived. We had agedashi tofu, 100 year rolls, gyoza, miso soup, veggie inari rolls, steamed rice, and two Japanese curry bowls.
Everything tasted great except for our curry bowls. The curry was bland and in need of some salt. Other than that, the rest was amazing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan S.Victoria, Canada01Jun 25, 2022
We ordered pick up for dinner last evening. Was so excited to try this new place close to home. My husband picked it up, and came home, had the sushi, and tempura first, then opened the big box, which held the teriyaki beef, rice and salad. My first bite of the beef was horrible, it was so dry!! I felt like it was deep fried, I tried a few more bites, and my husband asked what was wrong, and I said this is the worst stir fry I have ever had. He then decided to try his, and had the same thoughts as me. So I called them to ask if they deep fry their beef or if it is just generally really horribly dry. He said it may have been drier since we waited to eat it...ummm what. When you have starters you usually have those. I was not at all impressed on how they handled this, and will not be going there ever again.

Small sushi restaurant in a strip mall on Fairfield that offers a selection of specialty rolls and other usual dishes. Came by on two occasions with friends while visiting the area. Ordered the unagi roll in brown rice, spicy salmon & tuna rolls and crispy roll, which is really yummy! It's certainly their specialty. Good, affordable prices. Much cheaper than other areas in Canada!

Ordered a bento box today. It was just bland. Miso soup had no seaweed or tofu in it! The one piece of "tofu" was actually just a tiny piece of bread. The teriyaki chicken just had watery sauce poured on top which leaked onto the completely flavourless gyozas. The spring rolls were barely filled and also flavourless. California rolls were middle of the road.
For $11, I expected a LOT better.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kyyorn L.Sooke, Canada313Jun 29, 2020
Very fresh and a great sashimi selection. I'd eat here again for sure. Place is small so plan for takeout
