A few weeks ago (towards the beginning of May), myself and a group (through a group moderator paying for the ride(s) to and from Palo Alto), I had my first experience with your chartered bus company to San Jose. I thought the experience was rather expected. Although the bus driver came earlier than was asked (to which the driver pulled away and pulled up to the block where our group's lodging was), the driver later came closer to the pickup time with a nice attitude. He drove us to the location with what seemed like no problems and even told our moderator how close the later pickup would be from the drop-off point.
Thought the Wi-Fi on the bus was a neat idea - although I never needed it myself. Projective passengers: (you'll find the network name and password up just above the center of the front cabin's windows). I've never found that on any other bus or transit item - which was rather neat and expressive of their use.
He got to and from the locations easily - although going around a curve or two got a little tricky and you could feel he went over the one curb getting to the destination. Not a biggie on my point.

Horrible customer service. Unclear how this place has so many great reviews as my experience dealing with the owner was overall horrible. Called the company multiple times throughout the day to try and locate some missing belongings for a group of ours. The owner kept brushing me off saying he would go back look. Hours would go by. I called again and he texted back saying "he was in a meeting and that he would call me back once it was over". Never called back. We had also booked the bus company throughout the whole week. We asked one of the drivers about the missing belongings. His response. "Oh the owner is a great guy, I don't know anything, you have to talk to him he's great" in broken English. Finally ended up getting our belongings back 2 days later. Use a different charter company. These people are horrible

We're very sorry that were unable to immediately find your missing item immediately as soon as you called.
I am the owner and unfortunately I am out maintaining many things with our business to make sure things run smoothly and I am indeed in meetings throughout the day.
We do our best to locate lost items and often times need to wait for vehicles to return to the yard or for there to be someone available (usually myself) to go properly look for the items after the buses have returned to our base.
I'm glad we were able to get your item back to you and I apologize that I was not available to immediately drop everything to go look for your item - but we do our best to always find and return any lost items. - May 5, 2023
We used them for our wedding in Sonoma, they were punctual, clean and priced more affordably than some of the Napa/Sonoma bus charter companies. Raphael was very responsive on the phone, although slightly less so on e-mail. Would use again!

We are regular customers of this reliable company. Primarily, we use limo service to transport us from our home in San Francisco to SFO. The value is outstanding and our drivers are always professional and on time. The limos are clean and in great condition. Highly recommended!

This morning, the day after the Super Bowl, our house guests needed to be picked up at 4:35 am here in San Francisco ( in the Twin Peaks neighborhood) for a flight out of SFO. Fortunately, I made the booking well in advance and the driver arrived early as our guests had not anticipated that the airport could be unusually crowded due to the game. They are back in Phoenix after catching their 6:05 am flight. Thank you SF Limo Express!

I used Umbrella for my company's 25 person offsite/ retreat this winter. Slava was our driver and was so accommodating and nice. He was on time and very professional. Not to mention, a great driver as he took us up the windy roads along highway 1 up the coast to Jenner, CA with all of our luggage. He picked us up early in the morning on the way back and dropped us off at SFO. Great experience, great communicators via txt, and I would recommend this company for a corporate job anytime.

They have a 24/7 service which makes it great about them. I also enjoy the ride with them. They have the best service ever as far as bus service goes. I would use them again.

Raphael reached out to me to take note of the incident. Apparently they were double booked on our wedding day with an event that occurs annually and rather than cancel our reservation they utilized a partner to service our reservation. Although I prefer the company communicate the change in plans up front, I appreciate that he took the time to reach out to explain and correct the situation. I realize that my experience was inconsistent with the experience of others (which lead me to use Umbrella in the first place) and I would consider booking with Umbrella again.

Umbrella transportation was affordable, initial booking was easy, and vehicles arrived on time. If you are looking for a bare bones transportation option, I think Umbrella would suit your needs well.
However, I was looking for a little more personal attention. I needed to make a couple of changes to the itineraries after initial booking and this required a couple of follow ups before I received confirmation that the changes were made. I tried calling the number listed on the contract/website but the number had been disconnected (I eventually found the correct phone number on Google). I booked a 37 passenger bus and without any notice/explanation a 56 passenger bus arrived instead. The vehicles were a bit more beat up than I was lead to believe in the photos and the large 56 passenger bus was branded (rather than all black on the website photos). Finally, we did have an incident where a passenger was injured when the driver slammed on the breaks to avoid a pedestrian. I realize this may not have been the drivers fault but the driver failed to acknowledge the incident or ask if the passengers were ok. - May 22, 2018
I needed to book a ride to the airport for my daughter & I literally gave them a couple hour notice and they were able to accommodate us. They were very professional on the phone. They gave me the total and took the payment over the phone. They emailed me a receipt and info on the driver. Price was decent and it included gratuity. This was a nice option that way my daughter didn't have to pay out of her pocket nor worry about how much to tip. The driver arrived on time and got her to the airport safe and sound.

I hired Umbrella to perform a shuttle service for my wedding out in Placerville and I'm a little conflicted about my experience. Raphael was very unresponsive via email. First he claimed that my emails "got filtered out", but then 2 more emails and a week later I finally get another response. Then 3 emails and 3 WHOLE WEEKS later he apologizes and says he was out of town and away from email on PTO and that he'll respond to me that afternoon. He doesn't respond for another WEEK, finally giving me a bookable link to pay for/confirm the reservation (at this point we had been at this for 2 months). He then goes radio-silent and I don't hear from him again. Was this a fluke? Was this normal in the bus charter industry? Was he dead? I was busy with planning so I didn't have time to find another shuttle service, so closed my eyes and said a prayer...and come wedding time...lo and behold...the bus showed up at the arranged time/place, looking like a brand new, jet black spaceship. The driver was courteous, punctual, super nice, and he drove back and forth for the entire day with no complaint. The bus was squeaky clean and very comfortable. My guests were immensely impressed...they really enjoyed the ride and had nothing but nice things to say about it. So.......a fantastic bus with a great driver, but a less-than-perfect reservation process. You may have to badger them for information and to confirm your trip details, but it will may all work out in the end with a fabulous and comfortable ride for your passengers.

I was nervous booking with SF Limo Express for the first time; as I usually never have pleasant experiences with limo services. But I decided to book with them on faith in regards to their yelp reviews.
I was soon relieved about my decision when they called prior to their arrival and showed up fifteen minutes early. I was very impressed by their level of service and professionalism. I rented the 14 passenger Sprinter - it was well kept, clean, and looked as advertised in the pictures.
Our driver, Benny, was reliable. He remained in contact and was easy to get a hold of throughout our 13 hour scheduled event. I had a custom drop-off/pick-up schedule which they were able to accommodate no problem!
