    MNTO and ONCF Join Forces to Boost Domestic Tourism For the summer season of 2024, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) and the National Railway Office (Groupe ONCF) are launching an extensive multimedia campaign targeting domestic tourists. This collaborative effort aims to invigorate Morocco's diverse tourist destinations and enhance regional mobility. ONCF will offer tickets at highly attractive prices starting from 89 DH for Al Boraq high-speed trains and from 49 DH for Atlas trains. Additionally, the newly introduced "Yalla Morocco" card provides a 30% discount on all Atlas and Al Boraq train journeys. Through this campaign, MNTO reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the domestic tourism market, encouraging Moroccans to explore the wealth of their country's destinations.

    MNTO's Board Meeting Highlights Dynamic Progress The Board of Directors of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) convened on Tuesday, June 25 in Rabat, presided over by Fatim-Zahra AMMOR, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social Economy. The board reviewed Morocco's exceptional performance in 2023 and the first half of 2024. By May 2024, nearly 6 million tourists visited Morocco, marking a 15% increase from the previous year and a 38% rise compared to 2019. Overnight stays reached 10.44 million, up by 8%, while travel revenues soared to 31.87 billion dirhams, a 39% increase from April 2019. Continuing this momentum, MNTO will launch several strategic actions under the "Light in Action" plan. Focus areas include innovative social media content, enhanced collaborations, and influencer marketing. Special emphasis will be on aviation, aiming to secure 4.3 million seats for the winter 2024-25 season, a 15% increase. The board also extended its best wishes to Mr. Adel El Fakir in his new role as CEO of the National Airports Office (ONDA), acknowledging his six years of exemplary leadership.

For MNTO, this new route is a significant step in its ambitious "Light In Action" strategy to conquer the North American market, with Canada emerging as an increasingly prominent market. Over the past decade, seat capacity from Canada to Morocco has surged by 87%, from 87,000 to 164,000 seats annually, underscoring the immense growth potential of this market. The MNTO has organized a Fam trip for the top management of the Transat group from June 13 to 16, including meetings with the National Tourism Confederation and the Regional Tourism Council of Marrakech-Safi.
