Avec plus de 25 ans d'expérience dans le domaine des affaires internationales, je suis actuellement Directeur Général dans un grand Groupe marocain, une entreprise leader dans de nombreux secteurs. Je suis responsable de la définition et de la mise en œuvre de la stratégie globale de l'entreprise, ainsi que du développement de nouveaux marchés et partenariats à l'échelle mondiale.
Précédemment, j'ai occupé des postes de direction dans des projets structurants, comme Marchica Med, où j'ai contribué à la création et au développement d'une zone économique et touristique d'envergure à Nador. J'ai également dirigé pendant six ans le Club Narjisse de la Fondation Mohammed VI, un club social et culturel de près de huit mille membres dédié au bien-être des enseignants marocains. Par ailleurs, je suis chercheur pluridisciplinaire et auteur de plusieurs publications sur l'économie et les marchés émergents. Je parle couramment le français, l'anglais, l'arabe et j'ai de bonnes notions d'espagnol et d'allemand.
Je suis passionné par les affaires internationales, la gestion, la stratégie, et le travail bien fait. Je crois en l'importance du travail en équipe, de l'innovation, et de la responsabilité sociale. Mon objectif est de contribuer à la croissance et à la compétitivité de l'entreprise que je dirige, tout en respectant ses valeurs et sa vision.

Your team is resistant to change. How can you cultivate adaptability among them?
Resistance to change is a human behaviour after all, because most of us are used to work in a comfort zone, out of too many challenging situations at a time. Best leaders shall then be able to explain the new strategy to put in place to remain competitive in a very challenging world. It is oftentimes a long and difficult process to implement. The 2 steps to succeed in a managerial way of implementing change, are a theoretical one before it's on-the-job application. Once your colleagues and collaborators feel and enjoy little successes from what you told them would happen to the greater good of C-class and staff together, then change will happen in the more efficient way possible.

You're stuck in a supplier negotiation deadlock. How do you break the impasse and secure concessions?
To be able to serve an ear-catching storytelling is key to close any deal (design thinking). One shall understand that it is the client that shall be or feel (question of concept and percept) that he or she is in command in a negotiating process. From listening comes wisdom and speaking repentance. It is the counterpart that shall dictate the music. The more you'll learn about client's expectations and the way they make decisions, the more you'll be able to deliver products and services on time, and that perfectly match with the expectations and needs of the contractor and the payer. The last word shall always be left to counterparts. First impressions are key as are the ability to fit to others needs and desires.

To secure concessions, it is important to make some ones sometimes and showing good will and work overflow when needed. To work effectively with suppliers one shall be able to anticipate problems in the supply chain. If you are ready to give more than expected from others, they will discover in you the leader by example. If you practice what you preach, and work in good mood, maybe that the suppliers will see in you the perfect partner. It is really important to create a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. You've got to give to get in return. Business relationships are human relationships too. The more you're appreciated for your kindness and availability, the more you will normally get in return.

How do you address rumors and misinformation circulating among your employees during a rebranding process?
Soft skills are important to create an emulated way of working together in mature cross-functional teams that are able to listen actively to others recommendations. Working effectively with collaborators and colleagues means that one shall be able to create a peaceful working climate with kpis, reachable objectives and a clear vision. When active listening and mutual respect is here, and when people are willing to sometimes get out of their comfort zones to become more efficient, success will always be there at the end if the day!
