DISASTER DISPATCH

Highlighting the ERT's most recent actions and the impact it had on aid organizations.

Afghan and Ukrainian Migrant Resettlement

The Event:

In recent years due to the crises in Afghanistan and more recently in Ukraine, tens of thousands of migrants are reaching the US to find shelter, resettling and forming a new life in shelters and other locations.

The response:

In April, the ERT arrived to the HQ of a major INGO supporting migrants and refugees, to implement a digital system to reach out refugees with relevant information about their right through a resettlement process.

The impact:

In 2 days, the ERT and our partner created a complete workflow to generate and collaborate on content creation, disseminate messaging through social media channels, and have clear visualization tools for the work and impact done.

Afghan and Ukrainian Migrant Resettlement

The Event:

The Venezuelan refugee crisis is now considered the largest humanitarian crisis in the region, with 5,000 people estimated to be fleeing the country daily. Their journey to seek asylum includes a harsh, months long trek on foot, making those refugee shelters set up along the way vital to their chances of survival.

The response:

The ERT worked with a major INGO to design a comprehensive program management tool for refugee shelter management project including shelter logistics, refugee assessments, partner CRM, reporting and collaboration tools.

The impact:

In a few days the ERT and the INGO digitized the management of 94 shelters with annual population of 360,000, across Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico, providing relevant content and needed tools to refugees en transit.

Meet a Champion from the field

Marcos Cherem

Head of the Medical Team

Marcos Cherem serves as head of the Medical team at humanitarian NGO CADENA. In a recent interview, Cherem describes the gaps that were revealed since adopting monday.com for disaster response operations.

"Before adopting monday.com our teams went to work in the field wherever they were sent. We didn't have any planning beforehand and were just sent in. And when you're in the field, we knew, no one's behind you, because no one has any information, no one understands how the response is going to work. You just need to survive and do your best.

Now we just laugh about it because we thought that this was the CADENA way of doing things... Just three people in the field, hoping to come back alive.

monday.com has helped create our vision, research response strategies while helping us to develop planning tools. This in itself helps us notice gaps before deployment, in order to make informed decisions about what to do and not to do."
