Amitabh Bachchan is a huge Tennis fan. After Carlos Alcaraz's match against Novak Djokovic at the Wimbledon finals, Big B took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared his reaction. The veteran actor admitted to being heartbroken over Novak's loss against 21-year-old Carlos. He also added that it was 'depressing'.
Taking to X, he wrote, "T 5072 - SPAIN must be in celebration tonight... Alcaraz of Spain, wins Wimbledon; and Spain wins the EURO 24, beating England 2-1... My favourite Djokovic lost, so it was depressing... but he lost to a young player of some brilliance, Carlos Alcaraz... but generous in defeat!"
Reacting to Big B's tweet, a fan wrote, "Your favourite is also Djokovic ah super sir." Another fan commented, "#NovakDjokovic is a legend... Carlos Alcaraz (fire emojis)." "Similar feelings... Djokovic is 37, he has achieved way beyond... but all respect to his indomitable spirit... like you," wrote a fan.
On the work front, Big B recently delivered a terrific performance in Nag Ashwin's directorial film, Kalki 2898 AD. The veteran actor won hearts as Ashwatthama. From his fight sequences with co-star Prabhas to chemistry with Deepika Padukone, fans are all heart for him.
The film is doing extremely well at the box office. For the uninitiated, Kalki 2898 AD recently entered the Rs 1000-plus crore club. The makers shared a post thanking fans for their love. The caption reads, "This milestone is a celebration of your love. We poured our hearts into this film, and you embraced it with open hearts. Thank you to the audience across the world."
Kalki 2898 AD also stars Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The second part will be released in 2027.
