Catherine Zeta-Jones proved purple’s this summer’s hottest colour on Monday when she wore a show-stopping violet dress to dinner with her husband Michael Douglas.
The A-listers strolled hand in hand through Portofino this week before sitting down with a group of friends for a bite to eat.
Catherine’s plunging frock was also decked out in sequins, making it all the more eye-catching.
As for the 53-year-old actress’ husband, 79-year-old Michael beat the heat in a light navy shirt and loose-fitting white trousers.
Once the Hollywood icons reached their table, the lovebirds sat opposite each other and were joined by seven other pals.
Their Italian getaway comes after Catherine and Michael swung by the Monaco Formula One race back in May.
The husband and wife appeared in great spirits as they posed together under the glaring sun of the glamorous city and dressed in chic outfits for a day at the races.
Both stars wore their VIP access lanyards around their necks as they strolled through the paddock that also saw the likes of Sir Lewis Hamilton strut their stuff.
A Hollywood power couple, the actress and actor met back in 1998 and tied the knot two years later in 2000 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Michael and Catherine share two children together – Dylan, 22 and Carys, 19 – and are gearing up to celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary later this year in November.
Catherine and Michael are said to have recently settled in London, setting up home in St James’ Palace.
The movie stars are believed to be residing in an apartment at the palace in London, where King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla also live.
An insider said the palace is ideal for the stars when they’re jet-setting.
‘It’s just perfect for their requirements when they’re visiting the capital,’ an insider told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential column.
