GTA 6 fans are still not done combing through the trailer from December (YouTube)

Eight months after the GTA 6 trailer came out fans are still finding new details, including a non-playable character that has them convinced the footage was captured in-game.

GTA 6 fans are going a little mad on social media, while waiting for the second trailer to come out, combing through the first trailer from December and posting pointless edits of it.

You’d think that, eight months after Trailer 1 came out, there was nothing more to learn about it, but some eagle-eyed fans have noticed some new details.

A T-posing character and some minor graphical issues seem to prove that the trailer is not pre-rendered, and is in fact footage from the game itself.

The topic was brought up on Reddit by iWillRe1gn, who found a character in the shadows in a static T-pose (with your legs straight and arms stretched out at 90°) – the default position for any character model.

The character can be seen in the top right corner during the scene when a car is doing doughnuts on the street at 0:45 (turn your screen brightness all the way up or see the picture below).

The post has many convinced that the trailer is in-game footage, since it’s an error that’s unlikely to have crept in if it was pre-rendered, but there is more evidence even than that.

Stanislavrif replied to the post with their own findings, saying:

‘Light leaking through the road barrier in the scene where Lucia and Jason are driving in a convertible, glowing hair on girl in strip club scene, low quality textures on the left side of the bridge in Miami Keys-looking scene.

‘Even in this scene [same as T-pose NPC], if you look, you can see a store in the right corner, the interior of which, judging by everything, is made from a regular picture. You can find a lot of things if you look closely, but the average person won’t do that.’

You can see for yourself in the trailer above, or jump straight into the rabbit hole of looking for more proof yourself.

If you’ve had enough of the first trailer, the good news is that Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 is not delayed, despite rumours, and that it’s still aiming for a release in autumn 2025.

That means that the second trailer could come out in the remaining months of this year. There is a fan theory that Trailer 2 could be released this October, thanks to a license plate in GTA Online, but it’s probably best not to count on it.
