Fancy escaping it all for a life by the sea?

Now, you can do just that, as a rare opportunity to buy a teeny tiny beach hut has cropped up in Dorset.

But, as always, there’s a small catch. It comes with a hefty price tag of £110,000, and, measuring just 13’2″ by 6’2,” doesn’t have a toilet.

The property’s location is enviable though, found on Avon Beach in Mudeford, just a stone’s throw from Christchurch Harbour and around 20 minutes from Bournemouth by car.

And yes, while the facilities are limited – with a simple, cream design on the hut front – inside things are a little more cheerful.

Hosting a blue colour palette in keeping with the sea theme, there are a couple of fold-up chairs to kick back and relax in.

There’s also a small kitchen area despite the lack of bathroom facilities, including a fridge, hob and cupboards for storage – so there’s still the potential to host a dinner party with guests, albeit a cosy one.

Yes, you’ll only be able to invite your close circle as the maximum capacity is four people – but that’s part and parcel of the beach hut experience.

And if the weather’s nice, you could always acquire a few more deck chairs and sit out the front on the sand for a picnic.

Naturally, the sea is only a few steps away – so if swimming or surfing is your bag, you might consider snapping this up ASAP.

‘This beachfront hut, measuring 13’2″ by 6’2″, boasts a well-equipped kitchen and seating area, complete with an integrated fridge, a two-burner gas hob, and a sink unit, alongside ample storage cupboards,’ the listing, which features on beachhuts4hire.co.uk, reads.

‘It offers stunning views across to the Isle of Wight and down to Hengistbury Head, and it’s just a few metres from the beach. Conveniently, it’s also within a short walk of the Noisy Lobster restaurant, shop, takeaway and cafe plus toilet facilities.’

The price might seem relatively steep considering the limited amenities and tight space, but as local beach huts go, it’s surprisingly on the cheaper side.

However, it’s worth noting that lenders generally won’t accommodate mortgages on a beach hut – so you’ll need to have the full amount stashed away.

Earlier this year, a beach hut in nearby Christchurch went on the market for a whopping £440,000 – though this one was slightly larger, accommodating up to eight people.

And, back in 2012, one in Mudeford Spit was touted as the UK’s ‘most expensive’ after it sold for £170,000 just two days after it was placed on the market. At the time, this one didn’t have any running water, either.

So, if you’ve always wondered whether the beach hut life might suit you, now could be the time to shoot your shot.
