If we need something in a hurry, Aldi has far more than just bargain booze, sweet treats, baked goods and items for our weekly shop.
You’ll also find a plethora of random bits and bobs that we never really thought were needed – until we clapped eyes on it all.
From beauty bargains to garden furniture, items for DIY and sprucing up the home, to clothing and even technology – Aldi literally has it all, and frankly, we’re not mad about it (neither is our bank balance too).
Nothing gives us more joy than strolling down the infamous ‘middle aisle’ of Aldi to see what’s (literally) in store for us, our home and our debit card – yeah, we’re of course talking about Specialbuys.
For those who’ve never experienced Aldi’s ‘Specialbuys’ items, they land in stores every Tuesday and Sunday, sometimes with a theme too. Take this weekend, and August 18 – you’ll find everything laundry and cleaning related to plants and flowers too.
However, you must be quick as once Specialbuys have gone, that’s it. Ya missed out… though given our extensive experience with Aldi Specialbuys, some popular items that tend to sell out quickly do make a comeback due to high demand – like the Ionic Hairdryer, Egg Chair and many of the ‘designer-inspired’ beauty buys.
Better yet, on August 22, Aldi is coming to the aid of arachnophobes across the UK with the return of its popular Spider Catcher (£8.99), which has amassed nearly 21K views on TikTok.
Perfectly timed for autumn, when spiders often invade homes, this handy gadget measures 60cm long, ensuring no corner is left unchecked. Its humane, soft bristles gently hold insects without harming them, allowing you to remove critters without getting too close.
