Reiss is a nervous wreck as he faces Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) deadline and tries to convince Sonia to go for a day out to escape, but she refuses.

Sonia is touched when Kathy offers to throw her an engagement party.

Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) intervene to cool things down, and Sonia is able to buy them time by pleading with Sharon. However, Teddy decides to take on the debt from Phil and tells shocked Reiss. Reiss shakes on the deal, hoping it’s not too good to be true.

George keeps up the pressure to get Gina to find out who Junior’s mystery woman is. Cindy spots her trying to break into his phone at Beale’s Eels, and Gina admits what she’s doing, which Cindy quickly relays to Junior.

Sonia is worried about her eight-week viability scan and rattled when Sharon reveals that Teddy took on the debt, as Reiss hasn’t told her. At the scan, Sonia confronts Reiss and tells him it’s madness to make a deal with someone they barely know.

When they arrive back on the Square, Martin privately warns Reiss that the police have been round asking questions about him and Debbie. Back at home, Reiss has a panic attack and Sonia tries to calm him down. They head to The Vic, where they are enjoying their engagement party until the police arrive and arrest both Sonia and Reiss for Debbie’s murder…

Jean wants to know why Harvey didn’t make it home last night, but he says he kept getting fares, so he took them to earn more money. In a bid to get back in Jean’s good books, Harvey offers to help Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) by collecting baby Charli from the nursery, but he falls asleep in the hot car, with Charli in the back. Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) spots them in time, and they rush to the hospital as Harvey despairs over letting this happen.

Teddy reveals to Billy and Honey Mitchell (Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton) that he’s bought No.1, and they fill him in on Gray Atkins killing both Tina Carter and Chantelle Atkins in the house.
