Six people were injured during an air-rifle shooting on a Sheffield estate

Five teenagers have been arrested in connection with an air rifle shooting in Sheffield which left six people injured.

South Yorkshire Police said four boys, aged seven, 11, 13, and 15, a seven-year-old girl and a 62-year-old woman were left injured after the incident on Richmond Park Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

Three of the victims were taken to hospital where they required an operation to have the pellets removed, they added.

A 15-year-old girl, two boys aged 15 and 16, and two 18-year-old men, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and GBH, and have since been released on bail.

CCTV footage taken on Richmond Park Avenue shows police pulling up to an address, before arresting three people loitering outside.

Officers appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to make contact.
