Netflix has axed their popular real estate reality show Buying Beverly Hills after only two seasons.
The unscripted series follows real estate agent and businessman Mauricio Umansky, 54, and his staff at ‘The Agency’ in Beverly Hills, California as they attempt to broker high-end property deals among the rich and famous.
Maurico founded the company in 2011, as a real estate company which specialises in the luxury market, with over 100 offices worldwide.
Staff at The Agency – and stars of the show – include Maurico’s daughters Farrah Brittany, 35, and Alexia Umansky, 27. A third daughter, Sophia, 24, joined the line-up as she attempted to follow her father and sisters’ footsteps into the family business.
Drama on the show included the collapse of Mauricio’s marriage to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, 55.
The show’s second season only premiered on the streaming service in March this year, but the decision has already been made to pull the plug.

Sources told Deadline on Friday that the real estate reality show would not be renewed for a third season.
The cost of production versus viewing figures is believed to be behind the decision to park the show.
Buying Beverly Hills is survived by other shows in the genre, such as Selling Sunset and Selling the OC, all of which also air on Netflix.
As the news dropped, heartbroken fans took to social media to share their disappointment.
‘This sucks, it’s was one of Netflix’s best shows and much better than Selling Sunset,’ Dustin posted on X.
‘I actually got into the second season and was looking forward to more in the future,’ Jenny shared.
‘It was the only Netflix reality show worth watching,’ BJ added.
Their sentiments were echoed by several others.
‘I loved buying Beverly Hills! What a huge disappointment,’ flofraz2 commented on X.
‘Buying Beverly Hills being cancelled is INSANE,’ said yourgirllayedub.
‘Why did they cancel Buying Beverly Hills,’ wrote a confused marzrocks.
‘Guess the Beverly Hills dream wasn’t a reality show!’ joked StarstruckGifts.
The separation of Mauricio and Kyle Richards became front-and-centre during the show’s second season.
The pair married in 1996, and have four daughters together, including 16-year-old Portia.
They announced their separation in October 2023, but remain on good terms – laughing and joking during the series about what they will each get in the divorce.
One episode follows the family on a holiday to Aspen, with the parents discussing news of their impending split with their daughters.
‘We should talk about that now that we’re all here by the way. Because coming out of the blue what happened, it kind of blindsided all of us,’ Kyle told her daughters.
Another episode saw Mauricio battle a bout of nerves as he admitted he was scared to ask Kyle whether she is dating her friend, American singer Morgan Wade.

As rumours continued to spiral that the pair could be girlfriend and girlfriend, Kyle hit back, saying during an Amazon Live session: ‘That is not true,’ adding: ‘Gotta be about somebody else! So I wonder who it is. Now you have me curious.’
