    Local Impact Notes

    Local impact notes assess the fiscal impact of proposed legislation on local units of government. Analysis of the revenue or spending impact is collected from varied local units of government and compiled in a consolidated analysis.

    This webpage contains local impact notes published prior to September 1, 2019. Effective September 1, 2019, the responsibility to complete local impact notes is assumed by the Legislative Budget Office (LBO) as required by Minnesota Statutes, Section 3.987.
