🔎 Malta’s Tourism Soars to New Heights This Summer! ✈️🌟 Malta International Airport (MIA) achieved a record this July, with an unprecedented 951,861 passengers passing through our doors – a remarkable 12.2% increase on last year’s record volumes. This milestone marks July 2024 as the busiest month in the airport’s history! 📅✈️In addition to this surge in passenger numbers, there was also a 14.1% increase in aircraft movements, with a total of 6,054 flights operating to and from MIA. The busiest day? July 24th, when 214 flights arrived and departed, showcasing the high demand for travel during the peak summer season. 🚀With an 11.5% boost in seat capacity, an impressive 89.7% of all available seats were filled, underlining Malta's growing appeal as a top travel destination. 🌍Italy continues to lead as primary market, capturing 25.5% of the share, followed closely by the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Poland. 📢Did you know about the Islands Cleanup Campaign?🌱🌱 🔴 The Ministry for the Environment, Energy, and the Regeneration of the Grand Harbour, together with Project Green and Saving Our Blue, has officially kicked off the fourth edition of the Islands Cleanup Campaign. 👉Last year's island cleanup campaign managed to collect more than 2,000 tons of waste and 4,000 trees were planted. This event seeks to raise public awareness about the protection of valleys and coastal areas. 🌎 🔎Private companies, schools, NGOs and other groups are invited to register their own clean-up event.
