We’re thrilled to share moments from the Groundbreaking Ceremony of our client, Diehl Aviation, held yesterday in Querétaro, Mexico. This milestone event marks the official commencement of construction and represents a significant step in strengthening their presence in the Americas. ✈️ Strategically located in the PyMe park, this new plant will have 8,200 square meters in its first phase, with plans for future expansion. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2025, while Diehl expects to employ 500 people at the site in the medium term. The plant's first major project will be the production of spacious overhead compartments for the Airbus A220. The strategic proximity to their clients will enable more effective collaboration, reduce travel times, and optimize transportation—crucial factors in the aerospace industry. We are proud to support Diehl Aviation in this exciting expansion process in #Mexico. Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of attending the "𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲" event, organized by Honorary Consul Philipp Moser in Querétaro. It was an incredible experience that immersed us in the rich Swiss culture, complete with live music and a festive atmosphere that made us feel at home. 🇨🇭 We were delighted by an exquisite selection of traditional dishes, including Rösti, Bratwurst, Raclette, and Fondue, complemented by drinks and desserts that rounded out the experience perfectly. 🍽️ We also had the honor of meeting the new Consul of Switzerland in Mexico, Frank Nyffeler. 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼 🇲🇽✈️📈📦 According to the 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (𝗔𝗙𝗔𝗖), statistics from 2006 to date show a remarkable growth in air cargo at different airports in #Mexico. Mexico City International Airport (AICM) had always been the leader in cargo volume relative to any other airport in the country, handling an impressive 702,287 tons in the last recorded period. However, in just two years since its opening, the Felipe Angeles Airport (AIFA) in the State of Mexico has emerged as the number one in cargo handling. Since the beginning of 2024, #AIFA has already handled a total of 40,058 tons, compared to 20,297 tons at #AICM. This growth reflects the dynamism and importance of airport infrastructure in the country's economic development, a significant achievement for the aviation and logistics sector!
