    Manos de Amor is a "Casa Hogar" which means its a home for children who are orphans or whose parents can't take good care of them due to work or economic problems. The children live in this house and go to the nearest public school. Children are there from ages 0-14.They live in a safe environment with games, volunteers and an amazing community that helps them get by every day.

    Working in "manos de amor" has been one of the most rewarding things I've done. I would visit them once a week…

The children live in this house and go to the nearest public school. Children are there from ages 0-14.They live in a safe environment with games, volunteers and an amazing community that helps them get by every day.

    Working in "manos de amor" has been one of the most rewarding things I've done. I would visit them once a week for a couple of hours and I helped the children with their homework and to practice their math and reading skills.
    Spending time with the children at Manos de Amor made me realize how important quality education is. By offering them a mentor who would listen and be patient with them helped the kids excel in school and in their tests.
    They would get really excited to share with me their understanding and their grades when they did well and it made me proud to see that my work had such an impact on their lives.
