Description

This position supports fuel audit and conservation requirements, objectives and functions to constantly validate and reconcile fuel transactions and improve our fuel efficiency. The position is responsible to analyze the supply chain process, assess risks, manage loss prevention, implement secure traceable, transit management processes. This position is also responsible to implement and maintain volumetric control with complete traceability. It is also responsible for working cross-functionally to implement fuel conservation initiatives.

This job requires constant study and analysis for complete supply chain routes to make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the workflow and quality of fuel services and develop cost reduction strategies. This job implements and is the owner for control measures while constantly driving process management improvement metrics for efficiency and effectiveness of fuel consumption controls. Also responsible for fuel data/measurement control, field testing, OEM & industry peer interaction. Ability to travel required.

Accountabilities

  • Compiles bills of lading for supporting documentation for each transaction.
  • Monitors the status of and administrating necessary changes to the FMS/K-Libra, including managing the relationship with K-Libra service provider.
  • Monitors to ensure that offline system components are identified and corrected.
  • Investigates all FMS/K-Libra/Wi-Tronix alerts and identify root causes.
  • Support Witronix Fuel Sensor integrity by creating LMS Defects to report any issues with the locomotives fuel sensor or locomotives that are out of contact.
  • Compiles trend analysis based on K-Libra alerts generated by type, system, and terminal.
  • Compiles performance by terminal trend analysis to track data quality by terminal.
  • Ensures any exceptions/alerts have been resolved.
  • Exemplifies CPKC Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance during set up and execution of fuel conservation testing and implementation of new technologies.
  • Manages the field execution of testing cycles of fuel conservation initiatives including the crews.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure resources are available to support the testing and implementation of fuel conservation initiatives.
  • Qualified and authorized to instruct and supervise train crews on the use of fuel conservation
  • initiatives.
  • Ensures that all operating rules, bulletins, timetable instructions, general orders and ABTH are strictly followed by train crews in regards to fuel conservation initiatives.

Required

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Locomotive Engineer Certification.
  • 5 years of managerial experience in the railroad.
  • Experience with process mapping and / or project management.
  • Experience with fuel conservation initiatives.
  • Data analysis and visualization experience.
  • Problem solving, Collaboration and Communication skills
  • Continues learning, adaptability, attention to details.

Preferred

  • Good business management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a variety of people.
  • Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Ppt.
  • RFE or MOP experience.
  • 10 years in the railroad industry.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
