How do we design a career exploration website that resonates with students in Malaysia? Yi Fen Kong, Product Manager of our non-profit initiative SCHOLA (schola.org.my), will share her insights on designing impactful programmes that empower students. 💡

Yi Fen Kong is the Product Manager of Schola by Creador Foundation, a career exploration platform for Malaysian students🇲🇾 Leveraging her extensive background in education from organisations such as Teach for Malaysia, Arts-Ed, and Harvard Striped, Yi Fen has a nuanced understanding of the complexities that come with designing for the Malaysian education landscape. “Speaking directly to Malaysian students was key in prioritising the right problem to solve.” Faced with an early struggle on where to focus their efforts, Yi Fen and her team went down to the ground and did a survey with 1000 students as well as 50 in-depth interviews, which uncovered early career exposure as the most pressing need. They then had to figure out how to solve this problem while working within the limited resources of a non-profit organisation.
