Pursuing PhD with Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development at Sunway University. It has been challenging to do my PhD while working full time, change of job, change of research topic and even change of supervisors. After starting off with using technology and community for increasing yields of replanted mangroves, I am now pursuing research on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 which is to "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all." The focus is on Sustainable Social Education following the Mission school principles of education to serve the lost, the least, the last; respect for human dignity & non-racial outlook; principles of discipline, perseverance, zeal & hard work. This program gave me a look at IoT, commonly understood to entail the inter-networking of devices in the physical world by fitting them with sensors and network-connected devices. IoT is not a technology. It's a leadership opportunity, a mechanism to transform businesses.
The course educated me on the necessary technologies, skill components, and enablers and constraints for using IoT in a business. It provided examples of where IoT was already transforming customer experience, operations and business models. I attended classes over the weekends and worked full time during the weekdays. The thesis and project work was challenging mainly because of this and it took me a little longer to finish the course.

I studied both Psychology and Communication as well as worked part time as a Resident Hall Assistant which helped to pay for my room and board
