The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is ranked #10 in the country for universities that produce startup founders. The annual rankings from Pitchbook compare schools by tallying up the number of alumni entrepreneurs who have raised venture capital in the last decade.

Alumna selected to lead engineering at Santa Clara University

MechSE alum Kendra Sharp (BS Aero 1993, PhD TAM 2001) has been appointed as the new dean of the School of Engineering at Santa Clara University. Sharp recently served on the MechSE Alumni Board.
