President Joe Biden gave more fuel to Americans concerned about his mental acuity Wednesday when he appeared to read speaking instructions from a teleprompter.

Biden made the apparent blunder while addressing an audience at a trade union conference in Washington, D.C.

"I see an America where we defend democracy, not diminish it,” Bidensaid while pitching voters on a second term. “I see an America, where we protect freedoms, not take them away. I see an economy that grows a lot in the bottom up where the wealthy pay their fair share, so we can have child care, paid leave and so much more, and still reduce the federal deficit and increase economic growth.”

Imagine what we could do next,” Biden added. “Four more years, pause.”

The president then appeared to laugh off the mistake as the room erupted in chants of “four more years.”

The slip-up adds to Biden’s woes after being chastised by a world leader earlier this week. Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape reportedly fired back at President Joe Biden Sunday for claiming the country was once home to cannibals.

"President Biden's remarks may have been a slip of the tongue; however, my country does not deserve to be labelled as such," Marape’s office told Reuters. The office urged the White House to “look into cleaning up these remains of WWII so the truth about missing servicemen like Ambrose Finnegan can be put to rest."

On Tuesday night, President Biden made another notable mistake when heaccidentallycredited former President Donald Trump with proving the Biden White House "can't be trusted."

The president this month also told voters in Arizona “elect me, I am in the 20th century” while speaking on the state’s decision to uphold a near-universal abortion ban.
