Basketball truly has become a global sport in recent decades.
The popularity of the Team USA’s Olympic Dream Team in 1992 helped open the floodgates of international talent to the NBA and college basketball. On opening night of the 2020-21 season, 107 international players appeared on NBA rosters — not including 10 others on two-way contracts.
Drazen Petrovic, Dikembe Mutombo and Yi Jianlian are a few of the notable international players who have suited up for the Brooklyn Nets and New Jersey Nets over the years.
