NFL Trade Rumors: Five young players that could be on the trade block

The NFL season is quickly approaching, and let’s face it there are going to be several football players on the trade block. While we love some of the players on our teams’ roster, the NFL is a dog-eat-dog game. There were several players who were drafted recently who have already been replaced, and that usually means if an offer is good a team could end up getting a very solid player cheap.

Let’s look at five young players who could be on the trade block and talk about a team that should make a call for them.

NFL TRADE RUMORS

Malik Willis – QB – Tennessee Titans – Willis is known for his dual-threat capabilities. His athleticism and ability to make plays with his legs would add a new dimension to any teams offense, making it more challenging for defenses to game plan against. With that being said, I could see the Rams making a call for Willis. The Rams landing Willis to eventually compete with Stetson Bennett for a starting spot behind Matthew Stafford is a good option.

Javonte Williams – RB – Denver Broncos – The Broncos drafted Audric Estime and watched undrafted rookie Jaleel McLaughlin blow up last year. With that being said Williams has shown resilience and the ability to handle a significant workload. His physical running style and conditioning allow him to maintain performance throughout the game. Williams is known for his powerful running style would be a great fit in Jacksonville. Yes, the Jaguars could have their own thunder and lightning with Javonte Williams and Travis Etienne Jr.

Treylon Burks – WR – Tennessee Titans – Treylon Burks is a highly regarded wide receiver who played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the 2023 NFL Draft. Burks possesses outstanding physical attributes for a wide receiver. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 225 pounds, he has a rare combination of size, strength, and athleticism that makes him a matchup nightmare for defenders. I could see a team like the Patriots calling. Burks needs a change of scenery and can likely be had for a deal.

Eric Stokes – CB – Green Bay Packers – Eric Stokes is known for his exceptional speed and athleticism, which are crucial traits for a cornerback in the NFL. He ran a blazing 4.29-second 40-yard dash at his pro day, showcasing his elite speed. I could see a team like the New York Giants taking a shot on Stokes. The Giants could use another corner to compete, and Stokes can likely be had for a late round draft pick. He is still young as he was drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Joe Tryon-Shoyinka – DE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Buccaneers selected Tryon with the 32nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he has not panned out. His lack of consistent production led the Bucs to decline the fifth-year option on Tryon-Shoyinka’s rookie contract this offseason, and they spent their second-round pick in this year’s draft on Alabama outside linebacker Chris Braswell. I think Carolina Panthers could use Tryon, and I am sure he would love to go up against his former team twice a year.
