Abuja Chamber of commerce is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, member-funded organization solely representing the common interests of the business community and focused primarily on putting the interest of businesses in the FCT first. The Chamber is privately funded by corporations, foundations and members and therefore her energies are directed by the views and input from this community. Presently, Abuja Chamber of commerce has formed alliances with business leaders, trade associations, sister chambers, government agencies, & foreign embassies to accomplish its goals of enhancing the sustainable growth and development of businesses in the FCT. The Chamber is a growing body whose broad based vision and mission is to develop a more enterprising, vibrant and diverse economy, strengthen local businesses and enterprises, attract investment, share prosperity and create a better employment opportunities in the community.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Gemology Institute of Nigeria (GIN) and the University of Abuja (UofA), forging a partnership for collaboration in geoscience education, gemology, and mining research in Nigeria. Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, Managing Director, GIN, and 1st Deputy President, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), signed on behalf of GIN while Prof. Abdul Rasheed Na'Allah, Vice Chancellor, UofA, signed on behalf of his institution.
