Reading through some comments on a post, I stumbled on a young man who said he was in his 20s and he is glad to be hearing and reading thought-provoking articles from the wall. I was glad to see such coming from a young man. I have been an intentional man since my early 20s, but there are areas of my life that were never fixed until I was above 30. Now, I understand better that there are principles in life that a young man should never joke with. There are some laws in life that we should apply to our lives if we must improve in our dealings. I have had the opportunity to talk with people concerning their relationships. I once had a column on my blog that focused on relationships/friendships. I am glad at the level I am at building a long-lasting and meaningful relationship. In all, there is one thing that keeps a relationship going. It is so simple, but a lot of people ignore it. It took me a while to understand it too. I remember a lady I met, She said to me "Shev, if you ever get tired of me, you want to quit, please let me know". I didn't understand quite well what she was saying. She simply met, if you feel like anything different afterwards, please communicate, don't leave me in the dark. Communication is very vital in building a long-lasting relationship. A lot of people focus on attraction and the feeling they get when they are with someone. Without good communication, there won't be understanding, and there is no way two people can live together without understanding. We must teach people how to communicate, 98% of relationships and marriages that break today would have been saved if they communicated properly. It is a skill that takes months or years to learn.
