Just imagine getting to work on a random day only to be received and welcomed on a generously spread purple carpet in a beautifully decorated office by 2 members of the Executive Management appreciating your immense contributions to the growth of the organization over the past years. That was exactly what I got this very day as the Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director welcomed me to work with kind words of appreciation and commendation for my loyalty and contributions to the growth of the company. It was not Customer Service Week neither was it my work anniversary or long service award day but just a random day set aside by the management to appreciate, commend and recognize the contributions of the employees. Those words of the DMD were so soothing, very motivational and a high morale booster for every staff, it lasted throughout the year and beyond. I can tell you that that singular thot and act translated to increased productivity and great performance for the company much more than what a salary raise or bonus will do. We're thrilled to announce a pivotal moment in Nigerian healthcare: the launch of the Wema-SCIDaR Health Financing Facility for Community Pharmacists and Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs). Held on July 22, 2024, at SCIDaR HQ in Abuja, this event marks a significant step towards the organization’s effort to bolster primary healthcare in Nigeria. The PACS project implemented by SCIDaR and Society for Family Health Nigeria, with funding from MSD for Mothers, aims to elevate healthcare standards delivered by PPMVs who are crucial in reaching underserved communities. By providing financial support and capacity building, the project is tackling healthcare and economic challenges head-on, ensuring these vital providers can enhance community health outcomes effectively. A heartfelt thank you to our partners, Mark Allen (Merck for Mothers), Iyadunni Olubode(MSD for Mothers), Paul I. Oluikpe, PhD, ACIB(Central Bank of Nigeria), Chioma Onuaguluchi (Wema Bank Plc.), Pharm.
