I am writing to introduce myself, Olori Dare Samson, currently serving as a Human Resource Business Partner at Medlog Transport & Logistics, a subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Company, MSC. In my role, I provide strategic and operational HR services to the Terminal Operations Division, Transport Division, and Maintenance Division of the organization. This is about 70% of the entire workforce.

With a diverse professional journey, I bring several years of experience ranging from Customer Service to Learning & Development Specialist to Human Resources generalist and, presently, as a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner. My passion lies in various facets of HR, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Training and Development, Health and Safety, Compliance, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, Workforce Planning, and Team Building. I am driven by the desire to make a positive impact wherever I find myself.

In addition to my practical experience, I hold certifications in Process Audit (ISO 9001:2015), Health, Safety, and Environment (GHSE), Project Management, Sales (RED3I), and Customer Service. My educational background includes a B.Sc in Political Science from the University of Ilorin (best graduating student) and a Masters Degree in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos (second best graduating student). I am a associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management- CIPM.

I have actively contributed to various projects and committees, showcasing my versatility in areas such as Product Evaluation, Budget Review, Process Reengineering, Business Expansion, Recertification Audit, Business Conferences, and Cooperative Society initiatives.

Committed to continuous learning, I have attended numerous training programs covering Customer Service, Quality Management System, Sales, Leadership, Risk Management, Strategic Human Resources, Project management, SHRM training, Public Speaking/Making Presentations, Poise, Business Etiquette and Train the trainer to enhance my training skills.

As a certified trainer and Personnel Manager, I consider myself multi-generational, goal-driven, focused, a change agent, analytical, influential, charismatic, sociable, disciplined, with innate leadership and managerial qualities.

      Conduct frequent assessment of the organization's climate in order to proactively seek out employee related issues/dissatisfaction and address them accordingly.

      Oversee the keeping of records as it relates to benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for Management report.

      Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

      Manage the recruitment, interviews, tests, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.

      Support management with utilizing HR tools to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employees' engagement, and ensure legal compliance.

      Study and analyse industry trends in HR, future of work etc. and report to Management with the aim to prepare our employees for the future of work.

      Liaise with Union Representatives and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

      Conduct frequent wage surveys within labor market and the industry to determine competitive wage rate for employees.
